1028. James Parshall was born about 1649 in Isle of Wight, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.⁹¹ Sources place the date of birth as early as 1640 and as late as 1649. He died on 15 Sep 1701 in Southold, Long Island, NY.⁹¹ Another source places the date of death at 17 Oct 1701. He was of Lynn Ransom Burton. The Parshall family is of Norman extraction. Burke thinks it extremely probable that James Parshall was descended from Sir Richard de Pershall, Knight, High Sheriff 1333, son of Sir Adam de Pershall, Sheriff (Anc & Pos of Joseph Davis,p.54). James Parshall and Elizabeth Gardiner were married in 1678 in Easthampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.⁹¹ Another source states that the marriage occurred about 1683.

1029. Elizabeth Gardiner was born about 1659 in Easthampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.⁹¹ She died about 1693 in Southold, Long Island, NY.⁹¹ Children were:

	i.	Benjamin Parshall was born WFT Est 1671-1690.91 He died WFT Est 1677-1774.91 He died as an infant.
	ii.	Margaret Parshall was born in 1694. One source puts birth date at 1680, but 1694 is more believeable. She died in 1769.

	iv.	Capt. Israel Parshall was born in Mar 1679/80 in prob, Gardiner'sIsland, Long Island, NY.91 He died on 18 Apr 1738 in Aquebogue, Southold Twp., Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.91 Israel Parshall was a great-grandson of Lion Gardiner.
