Wheeler157 was born
about 1650 in Concord, Middlesex Co., MA. On 28 Mar 1712, Obadiah
Sr. of Concord sold land to his son Obadiah with his wife Elizabeth, releasing
her from her dower. They acknowledged the deed on 10 Mar 1712/3. No other land
or probate evidence has been found to connect them with their children, and no
further mention has been found for Elizabeth and Obadiah in the following sources:
land and probate records of Barnstable, Middlesex, Plymouth, Worcester, or Suffolk
Counties; Essex Institute Historical Collections; or Massachusetts Bay Acts &
Resolves. Obadiah Wheeler and Elizabeth White were married on 17 Jul 1672 in
Concord, Middlesex Co., MA. 1305. Elizabeth White157
was born on 4 Jun 1652 in Scituate, , MA. She died after 1696.

Gen IV and V, pg 145 31 JOSEPH WHEELER, b. Concord 7 March 1690/1; d. ancaster
29 Feb 1780. He m. (1) Cambridge, 2 Mar 1726/7 Abigail Butterfield, b. there
11 May 1702; d. 2 Oct 1764; daughter of Jonathan and Ruth (Wright) Butterfield.
In a decree dated 18 Mar 1754 for settlement of the estate of Jonathan Butterfield,
late of Cambridge deceased, cordwainer, Abigail Wheeler was named among his
children. Joseph m. (2) Lancaster 15 Aug 1766, Sarah Allen, b. Weston, 7 Jun
1718; d. Lancaster 14 Apr 1789, ae. 71 widow; daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah
(Wright) Allen. The will of Sarah Wheeler, widow of Joseph of Lancaster, dated
11 Apr 1789 and filed 4 May 1789, mentions her brother John Allen and other relatives.
Joseph lived in Concord, where all of his children were born, until about 1742
when he went to Lancaster. The will of Joseph Wheeler of Lancaster, dated 15
Aug 1778 and proved 6 Mar 1780, names his wife Sarah, and his four ch. Joseph
Jr, Phoebe Wilder, Rachel Wheeler and Abigail Conqueret. Children (WHEELER),
b. Concord by first Wife: <1> Phoebe, b. 11 Jan 1727/8, d. in 1806, m.
Leominster, 3 Mar 1746/7 Jotham Wilder, b. Lancaster, 1710, d. Bratteleboro,
VT 25 May 1801; son of Thomas and Sarah or Susannah (Hunt) Wilder. Jotham fought
in the Colonial Wars and at Bunker Hill. Nothing further found in VT VR or VT
PR. Eight (WILDER) children b. Lancaster: <1> Stephen b. 1747; <2>
