Ninth Generation

256. Capt. Richard C. Howell50 was born about 1712 in Mattituck, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. He died on 13 Nov 1783 in Mattituck, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. He was buried after 13 Nov 1783 in Mattituck, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. He is buried in the cemetary at the Mattituck Presbyterian Church. The maiden names of Richard's wives are unknown. Elizabeth's name has previously been mentioned as "Tuthill," but that has not been confirmed. James Peter Howell (1812-1899) states that "Richard married a Parshall, his cousin, supposed to be his mother's brother's daughter." It is feasible that Richard's wife was Elizabeth Parshall, daughter of David Parshall. I have entered his wife as this Elizabeth Parshall, but this is speculation on my part. It is alos possible that Mehetable was the Parshall or even that Mehetable and Elizabeth are one and the same. Capt. Richard C. Howell and Elizabeth Parshall were married about 1733 in Mattituck, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.
