He appeared in the census in 1776 in Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.⁵¹ Phineas Howell was listed as the head of a family consisting of one male of over 16 and under 50 years of age, two of under 16, and one female of 16 and above, residing in Southold Township.

	iii.	Micah Howell was born on 2 Jun 1776. He died on 8 Jun 1776. Possibly had a twin named Rachel who was born and died on the same dates.
	iv.	Jason Howell was born on 14 Sep 1777. He died in 1844.
	v.	Mary Howell. Married and had three daughters.
